Terms of Use

These terms cover proppal.double-r.studio — the PropPal website and web app, operated by Ryan Roark ("we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. They're a separate document from any terms that come with the iOS app through the App Store.
What the Site Does
The web app lets you write, generate, record, and edit voice clips for holiday and Halloween animatronic props (Sound Studio), and — in browsers that support Web Bluetooth, such as desktop Chrome or Edge — connect to and control a prop directly. Live control isn't available in Safari or on iOS, since Apple doesn't allow Web Bluetooth in any iOS browser engine.
No Account Required
You can use the site without registering. It identifies your browser with an anonymous local identifier rather than a login; linking an email (for restoring credits on another browser) is optional. See the Website Privacy Policy for details.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the site to control a prop you don't own or don't have permission to control
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our servers or APIs
- use the AI script-writing or voice-generation tools to create content that's illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights
- reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the site or its underlying services
We may suspend or restrict access for accounts or browsers that violate these terms.
Purchases & Credits
Premium voice credits are sold as one-time purchases processed by Stripe. Credits are tied to your browser's anonymous identifier (and, if linked, your email) — they have no cash value, aren't transferable to another person, and don't expire on their own. Purchases are generally final; if something goes wrong with a charge, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Your Content
Scripts you write, clips you generate or record, and files you import are yours. You're responsible for having the rights to anything you import or type into the site — we don't review it before it's processed, and we don't claim ownership over it. Clips you generate or record stay in your browser unless you choose to send them to a connected prop.
Third-Party Services
Some features rely on outside services — ElevenLabs for premium voice generation, Anthropic for AI script writing, Stripe for payments, and your browser's own Web Bluetooth API to talk to a prop. Their own terms apply to the parts of the experience they handle; see the Website Privacy Policy for what each one sees.
Intellectual Property
The PropPal name, logo, and the site's design and software are owned by Ryan Roark. You're welcome to use the site as intended; copying, redistributing, or building a competing product from it isn't.
Physical Props & Safety
PropPal controls physical devices — lights, motors, and speakers on a prop you own. You're responsible for operating your prop safely and according to its manufacturer's instructions. We aren't liable for damage to a prop, its surroundings, or anyone nearby that results from how it's used or controlled.
Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Live Bluetooth control depends on your browser, device, and the prop itself — we can't guarantee it'll always work as expected, and generated voice or script content may occasionally be inaccurate or unsuitable without review.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site — including lost data, lost credits, or issues with a connected prop.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
