I only hear a click or nothing when I change the volume

Accepted Answer

Volume only becomes audible once something is actually playing. Pick a clip from the dropdown on the Volume screen and tap Play — that both starts a clip and applies the current volume together.

Question 2

The mouth isn't moving while a clip plays

Accepted Answer

This should now work automatically for anything sent from PropPal — the mouth reacts to the audio itself, so quieter recordings may move it less than louder ones. If a specific clip seems too quiet, try the Effects tools in Sound Studio, or re-record/re-generate it a bit louder.

Question 3

A long clip is slow to send, or gets rejected

Accepted Answer

Clips over about 20 seconds (or a few hundred KB) may take a while to upload or be more than the prop can reliably handle. You'll get a warning first, but you can still send it if you want — just expect it to take longer.

Question 4

I can't connect to a second prop

Accepted Answer

PropPal only stays connected to one prop at a time. If you're already connected somewhere and try to connect to a different prop, it'll ask if you want to disconnect first — say yes and it'll switch over.

Question 5

I have two of the same prop and can't tell them apart

Accepted Answer

Tap the pencil icon next to a prop's name on the home screen to give it a custom name — helpful when you own more than one of the same model.

Question 6

How do lights and colors work?

"Set Color" holds one solid color. "Cycle Colors" makes the lights continuously rotate through colors. "Lights Off" turns them off. These are separate buttons — picking a color alone doesn't apply anything until you tap one of them.

Question 7

An eye pattern doesn't match what's shown in the app

Accepted Answer

The eye picker was matched by hand against real hardware. If you're using a different prop model, its patterns may be numbered differently — the picture might not match what actually lights up.

Question 8

My prop won't show up when scanning

Accepted Answer

Make sure the prop is powered on, nearby, and not already connected to another phone or the manufacturer's own app (a prop can only be connected to one app at a time). Also check Bluetooth is turned on for your phone.

Question 9

A clip's filename looks cut off on the prop

Accepted Answer

The prop has a limit on how long a filename can be, so long names get shortened automatically when sent. This doesn't affect the audio itself, just what's displayed.
